Cookies & trackers

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. It is used to remember information between visits (language, cart, session, etc.). We distinguish session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) from persistent cookies (kept on your device with an expiry date).

Pillarum uses a minimal number of cookies, classified in two categories:

2.1. Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the service to operate. No explicit consent obligation.

• pillarum-locale (localStorage) — Stores your preferred language. Persistent.
• pillarum_chat_v9 (localStorage) — Saves your conversation progress so you can resume. Persistent.
• pillarum_smart_trigger_dismissed (sessionStorage) — Remembers dismissal of the scroll prompt. Session.
• pillarum_exit_intent_shown (sessionStorage) — Prevents the exit modal from showing twice. Session.
• pillarum_ref (HTTP cookie) — Silent attribution for our partner programme. Duration: 365 days. No advertising use.

2.2. Analytics cookies (with consent)

To measure site usage and improve the product. Anonymised, aggregated.

• _ga, _gid (Google Analytics) — Anonymised audience measurement. Can be disabled via the consent banner.

No third-party advertising cookies, no retargeting, no Facebook or other social network pixels for tracking purposes.

Some third-party services set their own cookies as part of their technical function:

• Supabase — Authentication and API session. Strictly technical.
• Vercel — CDN distribution. Strictly technical.
• Google Fonts — Loading the Inter font. No persistent cookies; simple HTTP request.

Session cookies: deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies: maximum duration of 13 months for analytics, 365 days for the referral cookie, persistent until manually deleted for preferences (language, conversation).

You may at any time:

• Refuse or withdraw your consent for analytics cookies via the banner at the bottom of the site.
• Manually delete cookies from your browser settings.
• Configure your browser to block cookies by default.

Note: blocking all cookies may break essential features of the site, including saving your conversation and remembering your language.

This policy may evolve. The applicable version is always the one displayed here. For major changes, users with an account or an ongoing file are notified by email.
